Mou Itte Kitazo!

"I'm all fired up!"

These words will probably be familiar if you're an otaku or anime fan like me. To say the least, I have never outgrown my love for Anime, and up until today, besides all the crazy things that I have to go through, I de-stress by watching Anime.

Fairy Tail is an Anime created by Hiro Mashima, the same talented mangaka who created Rave or Groove Adventure Rave.

"Do fairies have tails? It's a riddle, something that cannot be readily answered, and is therefore, an eternal mystery."

Fairy Tail is the name of a guild of magic users or wizards. Kinda like Harry Potter wizards? Definitely not.

In the land of Fiore, specifically in the town of Magnolia, Fairy Tail is one of the strongest guilds ever formed. With Master Makarov as the leader and members composed of so many rambunctious individuals with their own unique traits and powers, it's one wild guild, I tell you.

While watching this Anime, I was brought back to my childhood - a time when my world was divided into good and evil, with heroes to the rescue and villains that must be stopped at all cost. Hee. I was pretty much an addict when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I'm probably... hmmm... still an addict, but to a significantly lesser and harmless degree.

What do I like about Fairy Tail? Let me recount reasons.

One - Storyline.
-Looking from an outsider's perspective, this Anime probably seems like it's just all about people fighting each other all the time, it promotes violence, aggression, yada, yada, yada...

Thing is, this Anime highlights fighting for what you believe in, fighting for what you stand for, fighting to protect your friends, fighting to defend the weak, and simply, fighting with your friends as a proof of closeness and love.

Granted, yes, the graphics and animation isn't perfect and it probably leaves much to be desired for, but what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for in storyline, plot, amazing characters and fight scenes.

Two - Unique Characters.
-If after watching this Anime, you still aren't hooked with Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster, Lucy Heartfilia, Titania Erza Scarlet, or not suddenly blurting a line or quote from the Anime in a perfectly normal, real-world, conversation, chances are, you're either blind or just really, thickly dense, unappreciative and, I dunno, maybe your interests just lie somewhere out there. (GTFO! T__T Kidding! Hee.)

Three - Great Character Development.
-Growth. Each character in this Anime probably has had his/her own share of highlights in one of the episodes. And what's amazing is, the Anime doesn't only show growth on the part of the protagonists, but also provides background, character development and flashbacks for the other side characters and villains.

This Anime shows that not every character is evil just for the plain fun of it. It shows that somehow, somewhere along the course of their lives, something went wrong and caused them to be the evil and selfish antagonists that they are at the present.

Four - Bad-Ass Fights.
-The kind that momentarily overwhelms you for the sheer awesomeness of it. Hee. Especially since I'm not particularly drawn to ecchi, romance and girly-girl stuffs, this Anime provided all the testosterone inducing fight scenes I so crave for. Bright on Laxus versus Natsu!

Five - Humor.
-Think, Natsu - bad ass dragon slayer, but is actually a total wimp when riding all forms of transportation as  all he does is throw up. Combine him with a potential flasher in the person of an ice mage with a propensity to strip down to his shorts at the most random of times, a kick-ass dictator-like amazon who can beat you black and blue without batting an eyelash, a spirit mage who tends to expose either boobs or panty shots in every fight, and a flying blue cat who can talk. Result? Chaos. The good kind, of course. Hee.

Now then, if those five reasons above don't make up a good Anime, I seriously don't know what does.

Also, to mention a few other titles within the same kind of genre such as this Anime, I'd highly recommend Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist.

Gosh. I know I sound like a total nut-case. Hah. Who cares?
